System Annual Report
In August 2007, the NSW and ACT Catholic Bishops published a pastoral letter,
Catholic Schools at a Crossroads, in which they invited reflection on the implications of our changing educational and cultural contexts.
Such reflection is characteristic of the ongoing restructuring and reculturing of our school system in the Diocese of Parramatta. 2007 saw a strengthening of our focus on student learning which we link to the promotion of a fully professional and rewarding working life for teachers and staff.
The coming year will see further emphasis on collaboration. Schools, parish communities, external agencies and parents will continue working in solidarity to provide the necessary supportive framework for achieving quality learning outcomes - within a specific Catholic educational philosophy
The 2007 Annual Report reflects the tremendous amount of work done by so many people in our 76 systemic schools, and their communities, and the Catholic Education Office staff who support them in this work.
