Introduction to Child Protection
The Catholic education system in the Diocese of Parramatta is committed to the total care of the whole student – physically, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually.
As a school system we are committed to developing protective practices in our schools to ensure there is an arena of safety to protect children and young people in our care from any form of abuse.
The policies, procedures and resources included in this Child Protection site are designed to provide principals, teachers, school counsellors, all school personnel and Catholic Education Office staff with clear direction for ensuring protection of children and young persons and for complying with the requirements of child protection legislation.
Note: Sections of the Child Protection site are frequently reviewed and updated to ensure terminology reflects current legislative requirements. Any further amendments will be advised by PCEL.
Reporting to Community ServicesPlease refer any questions regarding risk of harm or risk of significant harm to Child Protection Officers at the Catholic Education Office. New policy and process will be available shortly. |
