Holy Cross Primary, Glenwood has been leading the way with innovative technology-based learning strategies and visitors were invited to the school on Monday 15 March to observe the innovative learning practices.

The school has now been selected to join the Cisco Ingenious Schools program, a collaborative network of leading schools that are providing engaging, innovative and relevant learning experiences for their students.

The initiative aims to help schools go even further in meeting the needs of learners for the 21st century. In turn they mentor aspiring schools to go on a similar journey and become Ingenious Schools themselves. Teachers from member schools can share innovative learning practices and help each other to continue to improve their impact on learning.

So far through the Ingenious Schools initiative, students have had the opportunity to work with short film producer, Mitzi Goldman to produce a number of short films.

‘Technology enhances the quality of the learning experiences we provide for our students at Holy Cross,’ said principal Leanne Nettleton. ‘When it is an integral part of student’s everyday learning experiences we are able to both personalise the students learning and cater for their different learning styles.’
