World Teachers Day selfie competition winner

World Teachers Day 2016

Hundreds of students across the Diocese of Parramatta have honoured their teachers in celebration of World Teachers Day by taking a selfie with their favourite teacher.

As part of the Take a Selfie with your Teacher competition, students have sent in photos with a tribute honouring their teachers and thanking them for their many contributions.

After careful consideration by a panel of judges, Danijela Hader from Year 6 at, Corpus Christi Catholic Primary, Cranebrook has been selected as the winner! Danijela sent in a selfie with her teacher, Mrs Woodward. 'I have had Mrs Woodward for 2 years. She always encourages me to learn, to try again and to be the best me. Thank you,' says Danijela.

'Mrs Woodward is a great example of the dedication provided by our teachers to quality student learning,' he said. 'I commend their collaboration, unity and the value-based learning they provide to engage our students and the priority they place on the development of each student.'

Judges were impressed by the high calibre of entries and the overwhelming number of positive comments and responses from our school communities.
