DIVERSITY TEACHER (Learning Support)

Full time position commencing Week 5, Term 1.


As a member of the Diverse Learning Team, this role provides learning support services and works collaboratively with all members of the College community to create learning and social opportunities for students with diverse learning needs.
The Diversity Teacher:
* Provides classroom teachers with specialist assistance and resource support to develop the skills of those students with identified disabilities and difficulties.
* Provides support for students using a variety of strategies including case management, in-class support, team teaching and small group tuition.
* Has the ability to work effectively as part of a team and well developed interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
* Must hold Tertiary qualifications in Special Education.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated:
• Sound knowledge of and commitment to our Catholic faith and mission in Catholic education.
• Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative teamwork.
• High quality classroom teaching skills which enable students with a diverse range of needs to achieve their full potential.
• Ability to successfully implement and evaluate curriculum initiatives in accordance with curriculum and standards framework.
