Description

We are seeking an experienced permanent full-time Technical Support Officer. The Technical Support Officer works within the non-teaching team of St Patrick’s Marist College and provides effective assistance to admin for all technical support needs and to teachers and students within the e-learning environment. St Patrick's Marist College is a coeducational Year 7 to 12 Catholic High School following in the Marist tradition.

Criteria

The successful applicant will
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Have good knowledge of DHCP and DNS services;
• Show excellent problem-solving skills;
• Have the ability to work autonomously as well as within a team;
• Show excellent organisational skills;
• Contribute to the ongoing development of ICT plans including technology rich education and administrative processes;
• Assist in the ongoing assessment of technology opportunities including student BYOD program;
• Oversee technical support including help desk, software upgrades, licensing, backup/recovery, server maintenance procedures and network security;
• Maintain all communications systems and equipment;
• Monitor and support document management systems;
• Manage and support user needs in various applications including school administration package, timetabling, Google, school reports, library, financial management & MS Office;
• Manage learning management systems for students/teachers.
• Maintain high capacity wireless networking and remote access for staff and students.
• Mentor an ICT Trainee from the Catholic Education Office’s ICT Traineeship program.
• Engage with CEDP approved vendors.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Principal and/or Principal’s delegate.
• Manage ICT supplies and equipment within the College;
• Maintain a relationship with the ICT Office at CEDP; organise projects with CEDP;
• Maintain Skoolbag app;
• Manage Parent Teacher Interview System (SOBS)
• Support School functions in setting up visual presentations;
• Maintain and develop School Website and Intranet;
• Support and foster Gospel values and act according to Catholic ethos;
