We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced teacher and leader. In 2019, this will be learning support teacher role in an agile stage space and leading a KLA area. In future years depending on funding, the applicant may be a classroom teacher as well as leading their previous KLA area.

The Leader of Learning [Coordinator 2 (C2)] is responsible to the principal and shares in the leadership of St Nicholas of Myra school community. The C2 exercises this responsibility by ensuring that the school delivers high quality contemporary teaching and learning for the community it serves which is embedded in the Catholic worldview.


The successful applicant will:
- be a practising Catholic with a deep understanding of the Catholic Tradition and an awareness of its contemporary expression.
- be willing to contribute to the life of our faith learning community beyond the learning spaces.
- demonstrate experience in leading contemporary learning theory and practice within the school and classroom including Focus 160.
- be able to differentiate the learning for students who require adjustments.
- display a high level of ICT skills and be able to use these to enhance children’s learning.
- lead the process for developing practice in a Key Learning Area.
- demonstrate the ability to work in professional learning teams, to be open and seek feedback and build positive relationships with students and parents.
- demonstrate exemplary written and oral communication skills with students, parents and staff.
- be able to maintain a positive rapport with students in a supportive environment.
