2019 Temporary Full Time Learning Support Teacher

This position requires a highly skilled, creative, flexible and enthusiastic teacher who is dedicated to providing optimum learning for the students in a variety of contexts. This role will involve teaching 1:1 with two different High Support Needs students. The other half of the role will be learning support in K-6. The successful applicant will be able to adjust the learning to meet the needs of the students. They will also be able to work collaboratively with professional learning teams.


The successful applicant will:
- be a practising Catholic with a deep understanding of the Catholic Tradition and an awareness of its contemporary expression.
- be willing to contribute to the life of our faith learning community beyond the learning spaces.
- display a strong commitment to ongoing Professional Learning
have a contemporary understanding and demonstrated knowledge of the needs of learners and of the role of the teacher.
- be effective in implementing the Focus 160 framework in both literacy and numeracy.
- be able to differentiate the learning for students who require adjustments including programming, assessing and reporting.
- display a high level of ICT skills and be able to use these to enhance children’s learning.
- also be familiar with the CEC Personalised Planning Tool.
- demonstrate the ability to work in professional learning teams, to be open and seek feedback and build positive relationships with students and parents.
- be able to maintain a positive rapport with students in a supportive environment.
