Description

We are seeking a skilled Instructional Coach to be accountable for leading and learning, through collaboration, instructional leadership, supporting evidence-based practice and a commitment to their learning.

Criteria

The Instructional Coach:
- contributes to the delivery of the system strategic intent and learning agenda within the local school context.
- exercises Catholic leadership and fosters the faith formation of students and staff.
- leads the implementation of the learning framework, agreed pedagogical practice, and school action plan with a focus on literacy and numeracy skills.
- coaches teachers and models agreed practice to support students at the point of need using data and research-informed practice in literacy and numeracy.
- enables teachers to transfer intervention strategies to the local context.
- supports teachers in the use of assessment and developing differentiated and personalised learning opportunities.
- analyses and uses data to assist other leaders and teachers in understanding student and teacher learning needs.
- leads and informs the professional learning in order to build the capacity of all staff to improve student learning in literacy and numeracy.
- contributes to a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility across the school.

Experience in intervention strategies across literacy and/or numeracy such as Reading Recovery, R3, EMU would be advantageous.
