Mother Teresa Primary

Mother Teresa Primary will be situated in the same precinct as Catherine McAuley and Parramatta Marist High and will provide coeducational Catholic education. It is proposed to open in 2011, initially catering for students from Kindergarten to Year 4 in 2012, and in future years catering to a total enrolment of up to 420 students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Founding principal of the primary school, Gary Borg, was previously the principal at Holy Family Primary, Luddenham since 2005 and was acting principal at John XXIII Catholic Primary, Stanhope Gardens for part of 2009. Gary has also served as assistant principal, Religious Education coordinator and classroom teacher in a number of schools and as education officer – Religious Education in the Catholic Education Office, Parramatta.

Gary brings great experience to the role of principal at the new school at Westmead. He is committed to leading a learning community where quality learning and teaching takes place in a safe, challenging and rich learning environment and where strong relationships between parents, school and parish are fostered.

The current primary school at Westmead, Sacred Heart Catholic Primary will work with Mother Teresa Primary in providing quality Catholic education in the parish of Westmead.
