Our CSPD schools are committed to recognising and nurturing their high potential and gifted students. Our system-wide guidelines for the identification of high potential and gifted students are designed to be inclusive and thorough.
We draw on a range of proven measures - not just test results - looking at students’ abilities, aptitudes and achievements. This helps to build a broad understanding of students’ strengths and needs to ensure they have the opportunity to be recognised.
We provide targeted professional learning that equips teachers to identify high-potential and gifted students across all backgrounds and learner profiles. Our educators are building the confidence and expertise to both challenge and support these learners, helping them develop their natural abilities into real strengths.

- purposefully identified using multiple sources
- provided with appropriate extension and enrichment experiences (both within and beyond the classroom), and
- developing their social and emotional learning needs to thrive.
