🌟 CELEBRATING STUDENTS WHO SERVE THEIR COMMUNITY 🌟 Hon Jason Clare MP, Minister for Education and Federal Member for Blaxland, recently hosted his annual Community Service Awards, now proudly in its 17th year. These awards recognise local students who have gone above and beyond in serving their school and wider community - making a real difference where it matters most. 🤝 We’re proud to share that students from four of our schools were recognised with a Community Service Award: 🏅 Cerdon College Merrylands - Chanelle S. (Year 11) 🏅 Delany College, Granville - Kuae Y. (Year 10) 🏅 Holy Family Primary School, East Granville - Ava W. (Year 6) 🏅 St Patrick's Guildford - Mercedes M. 👨‍🏫 TEACHERS WHO INSPIRE 🌟 Meet Steve Lans, Science Leader of Learning and Eco Group Coordinator at Bede Polding College South Windsor - a teacher whose passion for science, care for the environment and commitment to faith in action are shaping young minds in incredible ways! ✨ Steve brings learning to life by helping students connect scientific concepts with the natural world and their role as stewards of creation. Known for his generosity, humility and service to the community, he plays a key role in environmental initiatives, spirituality programs and reflective experiences inspired by Laudato Si'. 🎨 KAYDEN'S CREATIVE IMPACT 💫 We’re proud to celebrate St Clare's Catholic High School Hassall Grove student Kayden S. for his meaningful contribution to the book 'Fences and Walls: Psychology and Colonisation'. Kayden initially created artwork for the book cover, and his piece will now feature in an upcoming children’s podcast - an incredible way to share his creativity with an even wider audience! 🙌 Kayden’s time working alongside Elders at Baabayn Aboriginal Corporation while creating his artwork was a vital and valued part of the process. Fences and Walls is a free educational resource designed to support mental health practitioners in understanding the unique experiences, trauma and resilience of First Nations peoples. 👏 Congratulations Kayden on this outstanding achievement and for using your talents to make a meaningful impact!

🎄SPREADING CHRISTMAS JOY IN OUR COMMUNITIES ⭐️ Our school communities truly captured the spirit of Christmas through generosity, kindness and service this festive season. 💛 Schools including St Andrews Primary School Marayong, Penola Catholic College Emu Plains, St Madeleine's Primary, Kenthurst, Gilroy Catholic College Castle Hill, St Bernadette's Primary, Castle Hill, St Bernadette's Primary Dundas Valley, Chisholm Catholic Primary Bligh Park and Sacred Heart Primary School Westmead have been busy sharing joy with those around them. From thoughtful donations and special visits to Christmas craft activities and joyful choir performances, our students have brought smiles to local nursing homes, aged care facilities, disability services and hospitals. 🎶🎁 Witnessing our students give back and share their gifts is a beautiful reminder of the true meaning of Christmas - compassion, connection and kindness! A wonderful example of faith in action and the joy that comes from serving others. 🌟

🥇 HSC FIRST IN COURSE! Congratulations to Mankirat Kaur from Santa Sophia Catholic College Gables for achieving First-in-Course in English Standard! 🎉 English Standard is the largest HSC subject by candidature and is undertaken by more than 33,400 students statewide! Mankirat credits her success to the unwavering support of her teachers throughout her senior years. “My teachers became my support system throughout my two years at Santa Sophia,” Mankirat shared. “They always checked up on me and provided me with unwavering support and guidance. Enjoy this special end-of-year Christmas greeting from Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD), featuring a captivating rendition of Joy to the World performed by Declan Ferrao, a talented Year 6 (2025) student from St Luke’s Catholic College Marsden Park, alongside the school’s staff and students. A gifted singer and Grade 5 AMEB pianist, Declan performs this unique rendition in five languages - English, Italian, Hindi, Portuguese and his cultural language, Konkani - beautifully reflecting his love for music, appreciation of diversity and God-given talents. This joyful celebration of multiculturalism and togetherness captures the spirit of our school communities across the Diocese and shares a message of hope, unity and joy this festive season.
