Inspired learning starts with highly motivated and professional teachers.
At Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese, we believe that school is a place of wonder, exploration and endless possibilities, where curiosity, imagination and love of learning are treasured.
We know that great teachers make a real difference in a student’s life.
We’ll make this work for you and your child
Our children’s adult lives will be very different from our own. Technology is changing everything including the way they will work. To prepare them for whatever that future holds our teachers foster the strengths that students need now and in the future - communication, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and so much more.
- We’ll work with your child to find out what interests him or her and show them ways to learn more.
- We’ll use real world problems to show how the skills we learn at school are relevant for life.
- We’ll work closely with your child as she or he learns to take responsibility for learning too.
- We'll draw on many learning styles to create an education that cultivates the whole child - academically, socially, and emotionally.
It’s a great start to a lifelong learning journey
Our teachers are lifelong learners too
Most of our teachers have more than 5 years of teaching experience and hold 2 or more professional qualifications. We invest in continuous staff training, through our own in-house professional learning programs, to coaching, to hosting guest speakers and sharing best practice with other school systems and industry partners.
We encourage personal development, with a significant number of our teachers holding a Masters Degree and many more in the process of obtaining additional qualifications. Our support staff are also very experienced with outstanding skills and in many cases, specialised training.
Every child is different and so is their learning journey
Our teachers make each student feel valued and safe, and help them strive towards excellence. Our schools are safe places for each child to belong, make friends and be cared for.
Teamwork between our schools and families combined with expert staff, state-of-the-art technology, well-designed facilities, and a can-do attitude help us to meet your child’s needs better. Our schools are communities of learners, thinkers and achievers.
Let’s work together
The best learning happens when there’s a strong partnership between home and school. Our caring staff will take every opportunity to talk with you about your child’s learning. As parents, we know you want to know how the learning works, and we’ll keep you updated when it’s working well for your child and when it’s not.
After all, we’re all in this together!
The Teachers are really friendly and plan very nice events. This school was a BIG part of my life and i thank them for all the great years!
Shyanne Stever - Student, Corpus Christi Primary
It's rewarding working within an organisation that has such an emphasis on improving and developing the skills of its teachers.
Ryan Gribble - TAS Teacher, Gilroy Catholic College
Attending this school by far was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The staff are completely nice and generally care about their students.
Fuianina Washburn - Student, Emmaus Catholic College
Penola has helped shape me into a better person. I am grateful for the great facilities and learning spaces, the supportive nature of the teachers who know every students name and never walking past without saying hello.
