Every family belongs, every voice matters
The Family Partnership Council (FPC) consists of Family Ambassadors from each Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) school.
Launched in 2026, the FPC replaces the Parents Representative Council (PRC) as a simple and welcoming way for parents and carers to contribute to school and Diocese-wide conversations and ensure family voices are heard.
The council is made up of a group of CSPD Family Ambassadors who share insights from families across schools in the Parramatta Diocese. Their lived experience helps shape initiatives and engagement strategies, including parent learning opportunities that respond to real needs in our school communities.

Family Ambassadors
A Family Ambassador is a Principal-appointed parent/carer who serves as the official FPC representative for their school for one year. Family Ambassadors will also have the opportunity to be considered to take on a small number of leadership and advisory roles within the FPC and attend FPC executive meetings.
The commitment is small and flexible. Family Ambassadors are asked to participate in FPC meetings once per term and work with their school to consider how they can contribute to:
It is important to note that Family Ambassadors are NOT expected to handle complaints or individual issues.

Can I be involved in the FPC if I’m not a Family Ambassador?
You don’t need a formal role to be involved in the FPC. Families can contribute through quick check-ins, short polls, attending events, or by having conversations with their school’s Family Ambassador/s. FPC events held once a term are open to all CSPD parents and will feature a keynote speaker and focus on a specific theme each term.
