Marist Learning Zone students engaging in arts and crafts

This year, students at the Marist Learning Zone have combined creativity, teamwork, and generosity in support of the Australian Marist Solidarity Project.

As part of their Social Emotional Learning sessions, students designed and created handmade bracelets and bookmarks to sell, with all proceeds going toward this year’s initiative.

The activity was more than just craft-making — it became a meaningful opportunity for students to work collaboratively, strengthen their communication skills, and develop altruistic traits by giving their time and effort for the benefit of others. Many students looked forward to these sessions each week, finding pride and joy in creating something with purpose.

Later this year, MLZ is excited to partner with the Lavalla 200> community to sell these items and raise funds for St Joseph’s Tenaru. Through their efforts, students are living out the Marist values of service, solidarity, and compassion, making a real difference in the lives of others.
