The Parramatta Diocese Catholic Primary School Sports Council (PDCPSSC) provides opportunities for primary students in the diocese to participate in representative teams in a range of sports. All primary students from 8 - 13 years of age are eligible to participate and represent in their school and diocese in the sports of Swimming, Athletics and Cross Country.

The Parramatta Diocese Secondary Schools Sports Council (PDSSSC) provides the avenue for secondary students across the diocese to experience most individual and team sports. Depending on ability, students can also compete in the weekly inter-school sports afternoon or trial for teams/squads to compete against other Catholic schools students across NSW.

PDSSSC Swimming Championships
at Blacktown Aquatic Centre
Schools select winners from their own carnival or swimmers who are competitive in time to compete at the PDSSSC swimming Carnival / selection trial which is held in March each year. In 2026, the PDSSSC Swimming Championships will be held on Tuesday 24th March at Blacktown Aquatic Centre. There are events in 50m in the 4 strokes as well as 100m Freestyle for all ages, 100m Breaststroke, Backstroke and Butterfly and 200 freestyle in Junior (12,13,14), Intermediate (15, 16) and Senior (17+) divisions as well as 400m freestyle (Open). There are relays for schools in 4x50m free, 4x50m medley and 6x50m freestyle (which must includes a swimmer from each age 12 - 17+ from the school). Swimmers who wish to submit a time to be considered for selection in the NSWCCC Swimming Team for the NSW All Schools Swimming Championships for the 200m Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly, 400m Individual Medley, 800m and 1500m Freestyle must complete an online nomination no later than April 29th, 2024. MultiClass Swimmers who wish to be considered for selection in the NSWCCC Swimming Team for the NSW All Schools Swimming Championships for the 100m Backstroke must complete an online nomination no later than April 29th, 2024. See form online. Please note - MuliClass 50m Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly and Freestyle as well as the 100m Freestyle are all swum at the NSWCCC Championships and will be swum at the PDSSSC Swimming Championships. Swimmers who finish first in any event at the PDSSSC event will represent PDSSSC at the NSWCCC Swimming Championships.In 2024, the NSWCCC Swimming Championships will be held at SOPAC, Homebush on Wednesday 2nd and Thursday, 3rd April.
