The Parramatta Diocese Catholic Primary School Sports Council (PDCPSSC) provides opportunities for primary students in the diocese to participate in representative teams in a range of sports. All primary students from 8 - 13 years of age are eligible to participate and represent in their school and diocese in the sports of Swimming, Athletics and Cross Country.

The Parramatta Diocese Secondary Schools Sports Council (PDSSSC) provides the avenue for secondary students across the diocese to experience most individual and team sports. Depending on ability, students can also compete in the weekly inter-school sports afternoon or trial for teams/squads to compete against other Catholic schools students across NSW.

      NSWCCC Swimming Championships

      at SOPAC (Aquatic Centre)

      The winners from the Diocesan (PDSSSC) trials then go on to represent the Parramatta Diocese at the NSWCCC Carnival which will be held on Thursday April 4th 2024 at SOPAC, Homebush. Events at this level are 50m in the 4 strokes and 100m Freestyle for all ages, 100m Breaststroke, Backstroke and Butterfly and 200 freestyle in Junior (12,13,14), Intermediate (15, 16) and Senior (17+) divisions as well as 400m (Open). The first placed swimmer goes through in all events except 50m freestyle where the first 2 in each age progress to NSWCCC. There are teams for relays from schools winning at the PDSSSC Carnival for 4x50m free, 4x50m medley and 6x50m freestyle. The MultiClass events contested at the NSWCCC Championships are the50m Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly and Freestyle as well as the 100m Freestyle events with the first 3 placed swimmers progressing to the NSW All Schools Swimming Championships. In 2024, the NSW All Schools Swimming Championships will be held at SOPAC, Homebush on Thursday 30th and Friday 31st May.

      at Jamison Park, Penrith

      The PDSSSC is running a Football Gala Day and Selection Trial at Jamison Park, Penrith. The Gala Day will be done in 2 divisions - Opens Boys and Girls. The day will commence with a meeting at 8.15am and the first games will commence at 8.30am. An Open Boys and Girls Football Gala Day will be held. The winning school on the day will represent the PDSSSC at the Quarter Finals of the NSWCCC Knockout at Glenwood on Tuesday 30th July against the winning schools from the Wollongong Diocese. Players whose school is not sending a team must register individually on the PDSSSC website, using the registration form. Please note - THIS IS NOT A SELECTION TRIAL.
